This guide shows the new updated method to download VMware Workstation Pro 25H2 for free. The old method no longer works.

- Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Intel or AMD CPU with virtualization
- 8GB RAM minimum (16GB recommended)
- 20GB free disk space

Step 1 — Create Broadcom Account
VMware downloads now require a Broadcom account.
- Click the download button above
- Redirects to Broadcom website
- Click Register
- Enter email and verification code
- Fill name and country
- Create password
- Accept terms
- Click Create Account
Job title is optional — you can leave it blank.
Step 2 — Find Free VMware Downloads
After logging in:
- Open Broadcom dashboard
- Click My Downloads
- Select Free Software Downloads
- Search Workstation Pro
Choose:
VMware Workstation Pro 25H2
Select Windows or Linux version.
Step 3 — Accept Terms & Verification
You must open the Terms & Conditions link before the checkbox activates.
Then fill the short verification form:
- Name
- Country
- Address
- Postal code
- Company → choose Other
Click Submit → download becomes active.
Step 4 — Disable Conflicting Windows Features
Windows Hyper-V blocks VMware performance.
You must disable these features:
- Hyper-V
- Virtual Machine Platform
- Windows Hypervisor Platform
- Windows Sandbox
- Windows Subsystem for Linux
Open:
Turn Windows features on or off
Uncheck all listed features → click OK → restart PC.
Step 5 — Disable Memory Integrity
This improves virtualization compatibility.
- Open Windows Security
- Device Security
- Core Isolation
- Turn Memory Integrity OFF
Restart PC again.
Step 6 — Enable CPU Virtualization
Check Task Manager → Performance → CPU.
If Virtualization says Disabled:
- Enter BIOS/UEFI
- Enable Intel VT-x or AMD-V
- Save and restart
This is required for 64-bit virtual machines.
Step 7 — Install VMware Workstation Pro
Run the installer you downloaded.
If setup shows:
Hyper-V is not detected
That means everything is configured correctly.
Click Next → Install → Finish.
