If the model fails to load, runs slowly, or LM Studio becomes unstable, reduce the context length and lower the GPU offload value.

Step 7: Test the AI Offline

Now let’s confirm that the local AI model works without internet. Disconnect Wi-Fi or turn off your internet connection on the Windows PC.

After disconnecting the internet, ask a normal question like:

If the model starts generating an answer, that means the AI is running directly on your computer. Your prompt is not being sent to an online AI server.

Can It Answer Restricted Questions?
